"Here Am I. Send Me" Isaiah 6:1-8 Monday, December 4, 2017
Isaiah witnessed the unraveling of godly living in Israel. Things were not going well. The whole nation appeared to be living and championing apostasy. Isaiah could shout, "Who's in charge here!?" The answer that would slowly echo back to his ears would be a weak and trembling, "We are." There lies the problem. In Isaiah, chapter six, we have an account where Isaiah receives another perspective to the troubling question of who's in charge. We find that God has not abandoned the throne. We discover that God does have a plan. We also might be surprised that we are included in God's plan. Now the question that plagues this world will change from the world's perspective of "Who's in charge here?" to God's perspective of "Whom shall I send?" And now we can say, "Here I am. Send me."
