Messianic Viewpoint

with Jacques Isaac Gabizon
The Book of Philippians, Part 1 & 2 Friday, July 10, 2020
We are beginning our study of this wonderful epistle written to the Philippians. It is one of the finest, simplest, yet profoundly persuasive letters we have received. You can read it in just a few minutes and be blessed or you can spend weeks studying it and becoming even more blessed. The writer of this letter is Paul, a very special man; he is a lover of God. We know Paul’s way of being stern, yet tender when it comes to teaching truth and we know him as uncompromising when a red line is being crossed. We also appreciate his sensitivity and how close a relationship He had with his God. In Philippians, he shows his joy which is sincere and genuine; he is transparent as a child in that respect, yet his words are the words of a giant. This epistle is one written from the heart. Perhaps that is why many commentators have found it hard to see a central theme in this book. Being from the heart, it explodes with emotion while resting rooted in solid teaching. Welcome to Messianic Viewpoint with Jacques Isaac Gabizon and welcome to this study on the book of Philippians. Be blessed as you listen in, shalom.

Who was Jesus of Nazareth? Controversy over the answer still rages today. Was Jesus simply a good teacher? Was he a well-meaning but confused religious reformer? Was he a disciple of another teacher? Regardless of your opinion, one overlooked fact is key: Jesus was a Jew. Looking for answers as to the real identity of Jesus, Arnold Fruchtenbaum, author of Jesus Was A Jew, embarked on his own personal search. He documents the opinions of many Jewish leaders. He deals with the Messianic hope. He also examines Jewish objections to Jesus honestly and with insight. Jesus Was A Jew contains interviews with almost 40 Jews — rabbis, homemakers, actors, hairdressers, and others from all walks of life — concerning what they believe about Jesus
