Bible Answer Manwith Hank Hanegraaff
The Word of God in the Age of Weed, and Q&A Monday, June 29, 2020
On today’s Bible Answer Man broadcast, Hank discusses an article he read in The Wall Street Journal titled, “The Word of God in the Age of Weed” by Mike Jordan. Jordan chronicles a major shift taking place among faith leaders when it comes to the legalization of marijuana. About how public tolerance of marijuana has gone mainstream in religious communities. And about how polling demonstrates that a majority in the Christian community are in favor of legalizing cannabis. The article implies that a majority of Christians waving Bibles around in pulpits have little sense of how to draw proper theological deductions from the profundity of its pages. Hank also answers the following questions: I remember hearing about Sweden doing studies in the ‘90s on marijuana showing that it was harmful and causing high percentages of schizophrenia, depression, and suicide among others. People don’t seem to want to hear this. My 10-year-old granddaughter identifies as gay. I made the mistake of telling her not to talk about this to her grandpa. Now my daughter is upset with me. How can I respond to her in a biblical way?
