Making Life Work #17 Monday, May 27, 2019
Of all the ways that a man can mess up his life, sex-related problems have to be some of the most likely. Even more so for a woman—in that the consequences for women seem more likely, dangerous, and permanent. Many parents make the common mistake of warning their children of the dangers instead of impressing upon their minds the morality of the situation, and the facts of love—not just the facts of life. I suppose that’s why Solomon gives so much attention to sex in the opening chapters of Proverbs. It is framed as a parent speaking to his child. Let’s examine this a little closer and see what we can learn—not just from the advice, but how it is given.
