“I swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help me God”. A very common oath taken in courtrooms across America. Yet, why do we take that oath? Well, it could be said that it is a way to try to get people to tell the truth. If man was truthful, then the oath would not be necessary. God makes a very important oath to His people. The difference is that when God says it, there is no doubt that He will follow through with it. Turn to Isaiah chapter forty-four as we examine this oath in depth.
