This message introduces the book of Daniel as one of Scripture’s most far-reaching prophecies, moving from the Babylonian captivity all the way to the coming tribulation, Antichrist, and God’s final judgment of corrupt world systems. It emphasizes the absolute sovereignty of God over the rise and fall of nations and leaders, and shows how Daniel and his friends lived holy, uncompromising lives in the middle of a pagan, collapsing culture. The pastor then applies Daniel’s example to our own morally confused and judgment-bound world, calling believers to “come out” from its sin, stand firm on God’s Word, and live distinct lives in the power of the Holy Spirit.
