End Times – Book of Daniel: The Willful King 11:36–45 and the Final Antichrist
Sunday, June 21, 2026
This sermon finishes Daniel 11 by shifting from the historical type, Antiochus Epiphanes, to the future “willful king,” the final Antichrist who will arise at “the time of the end” after Daniel’s 70th week resumes for Israel. The pastor explains that Daniel’s vision skips over the church age (a mystery later revealed to Paul) and jumps to Jacob’s trouble, a future sevenyear period in which a Satanempowered world ruler exalts himself above every god, blasphemes the true God, brokers and then breaks a covenant with Israel, desecrates the rebuilt temple, and persecutes the Jews until Christ returns. He ties this to current geopolitics in the Middle East, argues that events like a coming Psalm 83– and Ezekiel 38–type conflict will set the stage for this man of sin, and urges believers to recognize that what God has “determined shall be done,” living awake and ready as Christ could interrupt history and remove His church at any moment.
