This sermon warns believers living in the “last of the last days” not to be seduced by the world, false teachers, or counterfeit “Christs,” but to recognize that many antichrists and religious systems deny the true, biblical Jesus. It explains that those who depart from sound doctrine reveal they were never truly “of us,” while born-again Christians have a God-given anointing through the Holy Spirit that guards them, anchors them in the written Word, and keeps them confessing Jesus as Lord, true God and true man. Flowing from this anointing, believers are called to abide in Christ, hold fast to the apostolic truth about who He is, and live in the confidence of the Father’s promise: eternal life in His presence
