God gives every believer spiritual gifts to serve Him and build up the church. These aren't natural talents, but specific abilities from the Holy Spirit designed to advance God's kingdom. Key gifts include prophecy (speaking God's mind into situations), service (meeting needs as Christ's hands and feet), and teaching (building up believers in truth). Our gifts don't make us more important - they make others more important as we serve the body of Christ. God intends no spectators in His church; every believer is called to move from observer to active participant in kingdom work.
