The book of First Samuel speaks of a time when the Ark of God had returned, and the people were genuinely confessing and forsaking their sin. The prophet Samuel is back on the scene, and reassures them of the Lord’s ability and His promise to deliver them from their enemies. Despite that reassurance, the people were still demanding a King!
