New Creations Sons of God, Part 6

A hallmark Scripture of Christianity is 2 Cor. 5:17: "If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature." And this new creature is a child of God. The term "sons of God" in Scripture is not a gender determiner, but rather, a legal position, because in the body of Christ there is neither male nor female. But in Bible times only sons inherited their family's wealth, and the firstborn son inherited the greater portion. The take away is: Now that we are in Christ, we have a new, legal position that only comes through the new birth, by which we are "partakers of the divine nature."
