Thru the Bible - Minute with McGee

with Dr. J. Vernon McGee
Be blameless Wednesday, October 23, 2024
Now there’s been many a politician wished that he’d lived a little differently and acted a little differently. And that’s true of men—and I mean by that, mankind generally. But today a child of God ought to live that the charges which inevitably will be leveled against him will be a lie. Now you can’t keep people from talking about you, but you can so live as to make them liars when they do talk about you. Paul said in Philippians 2:15, “That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world.” That ought to be true of every believer.

Galatians Bible Companion

Get ready to fight the good fight against legalism in Galatians. When this letter was written, it defended the gospel of Christ from people who wanted to reduce it to rules. Not surprising, Galatians has provided the backbone for several great spiritual revivals around the world. Freedom, we learn, is a serious fight. Allow grace to revolutionize your own life through these seven lessons from Dr. J. Vernon McGee.
