Forgive because He forgave us
Tuesday, March 17, 2026
“And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.” Now because He’s forgiven us, we are to forgive, and we’re to forgive the same way: tenderhearted, forgiving one another. This parable of the king who forgave his servant, but the man in turn refused to forgive another, it illustrates the principle of forgiveness, you see. If God forgave our sins on the same way we forgive, none of us would ever get forgiven. This is a great principle after you become a child of God. Because you have been forgiven, and it’s on that basis we’re to forgive today. This is the principle of Christian conduct, of course.
