“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.” Well, somebody says, “Well, then what in the world does it mean?” Well, the merchant man is Christ. He left home and came to this earth from heaven, and He came down to find a pearl of great price. And what’d He find? Lost sinners. He died for them. He shed his blood. He sold all that He had. “Though He was rich, yet for our sakes He became poor that we through His poverty might be rich,” and He redeemed us to God. He bought us.
