We need protection on a journey. This is a dangerous journey. Paul said perilous times would come. And we need a defense. And “take … the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” “The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword ….” And then there’s other things that we need. In fact, it’s all here. We need a first-aid kit. Are you wounded today? Are you broken hearted? Are you disappointed? May I say that this book is a first-aid kit.
