The eye of a needle

“And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.” There are so many people today that think they’re going to be saved by what they have or who they are. And, friends, you are saved when you find out who you are, and that is a sinner, and when you find out that you’re a beggar in God’s sight and you have nothing to offer Him for your salvation. But as long as you think that you can do something or you can pay God—why you can no more be saved than you can put a camel through an eye of a needle. You say, “That’s impossible.” Of course, it is. That’s the point our Lord is making here.
