Everything we learn about the priesthood in the Old Testament points to Jesus as our High Priest. One significant difference is that a priest would have to offer a sacrifice for his own sin. Jesus had no sin. His priesthood actually completes the work that the OT priesthood could never fully complete. Jesus offered Himself up once and fulfills the entire sacrificial system.
