God sure is good and gracious to us, and the passage before us today on Hope from the Word is a brilliant reminder of that. The Lord wants us to keep going and grow in our relationship with Him, but there are times when some Christians backslide for one reason or another. Maybe that's descriptive of where you're at today? Well, as we visit First Samuel thirty today, we find David in the midst of a sixteen-month backslide. But after great difficulty, he's going to come back to the Lord and, in one of the most beautiful portraits of God's grace in all of Scripture, we see the Lord is right there waiting for him. We'll backtrack just a little into yesterday's message to bring us up to speed with this fascinating story. Here to tell us all about it, is Pastor Bill Luebkemann.
