God Glorified In Mercy and Justice - Romans 9:14-18

In this episode we examine the challenging and important truths found in **Epistle to the Romans 9:14–18. After explaining God’s sovereign choice, the Apostle Paul anticipates a natural question: Is God unjust?Paul responds emphatically—by no means. He points to God’s own words to Moses, declaring that He will have mercy on whom He has mercy and compassion on whom He has compassion. This reveals that mercy is not something earned or deserved, but something freely given by God according to His will.Paul also references Pharaoh to show that God can both show mercy and harden hearts, demonstrating His power and purpose. These truths highlight that salvation does not depend on human desire or effort, but on God’s mercy.This passage calls us to trust in God’s perfect justice and sovereign authority. While His ways may be difficult to fully understand, we can be confident that everything He does is right, and that His mercy is both undeserved and amazing.
